The McKell Institute appoints Ed Cavanough as Acting CEO

McKell Institute Director of Policy Ed Cavanough has been appointed Acting CEO as Michael Buckland departs the organisation to take up a new role in the NSW Government.

Ed Cavanough joined the Institute in 2015 and brings to the role a decade of experience in policy, research and advocacy.

“The Institute has been my professional home since arriving in Sydney back in 2015, and I’m excited to be stepping up to lead the organisation during this period of transition.”

“For the past two years, the Institute has thrived under the leadership of outgoing CEO Michael Buckland, who brought an enthusiasm, energy and innovative mindset to the role.”

“I want to thank Michael for all his efforts at McKell, and on behalf of our board and staff, wish Michael well in his new role”.

In the coming weeks, a process will commence to appoint a permanent CEO.
