Nothing to gain, plenty to lose
Why the government, households and business could end up paying a high price for electricity privatisation
The privatisation of electricity assets was a key policy of the NSW Government entering the 2015 State Election. This report argues that privatisation won’t solve the challenges that the NSW Government are trying to solve, will end a consistent revenue stream for the government, and risks increasing prices for consumers.
