2023 McKell Institute Annual Report & Impact Statement
2023 has been a year of transition, growth and impact for the McKell Institute.
This year’s annual report includes the McKell Institute’s inaugural Impact Statement, in which we highlight 10 McKell Institute policies we’re proud to see being put into action.
In Canberra, we have seen the Albanese Government work to close labour hire loopholes, pursue gig work reform and crack down on wage theft. This comes after the commencement of the rollout of community batteries and free TAFE policies – ideas advanced in McKell reports prior to the 2022 Federal Election.
And at a state level, our impact has been similarly forceful, across housing and homelessness, domestic manufacturing, and mental health service provision, among other issues.
We’re grateful to our partners and friends for your support, and look forward to continuing to champion practical, progressive ideas for a fairer Australia in the year ahead.
