Michael Buckland joins the McKell Institute from Australia’s largest philanthropic fund, the Paul Ramsay Foundation, where he led policy programs and public affairs to help achieve their mission to break cycles of disadvantage in Australia.
As a former Chief of Staff and Policy Director to NSW Labor Opposition Leaders he brings extensive experience in policy development and government.
Michael has a diverse background, having worked for derivatives trading firm, First Prudential Markets, and extensively with trade unions and advocacy campaigns.
Michael will start with the McKell Institute in mid-January 2021.
